Windows, Doors and Vents in Redondo Beach
Redondo Beach window, door and vent replacement with corrosion resistant frames, tempered glass and listed ember resistant vents, permitted through the city.
Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Torrance and Palos Verdes Estates all get one method from us, and so do Rolling Hills Estates and Hawthorne. Each job starts on foot around the outside of the house, moves to a scope with photos attached, then to drawings for the city building department, and the work stays open for every inspection. Details shift with the lot. A Redondo Beach house near the water gets metal and mesh picked to resist corrosion.
Windows and doors near open water
Window and door replacement is one of our lead services, and on a house near the water the frame and the hardware matter as much as the glass. Fiberglass and vinyl frames will not corrode. Hinges, locks and sliding door rollers are specified in stainless steel. Glass in each unit is tempered and dual pane, which slows radiant heat and satisfies the safety glazing rules close to doors and floors. Each unit is set into a pan flashing at the sill, taped at the jambs and lapped under the paper at the head, so water that gets past the frame drains out.
Vents and eaves
Attic and crawlspace vents are where embers and moisture both find a way in. We replace coarse louvered vents with listed ember resistant units whose mesh holds up in damp air near open water. Bird blocking between rafters is checked for gaps, and fascia boards that have split are replaced with a fiber cement product. Open eaves can be boxed with a noncombustible soffit, and gaps at the top of a wall get sealed. Work that needs a permit goes to the City of Redondo Beach, and each stage stays open until its inspector signs off.
