Skylights face the sky directly, so a unit with a tempered or laminated pane on a metal curb is the safer choice, and the curb is wrapped with step and apron flashing tied into the roofing. Every new window sits on a sloped sill pan, with side and head flashing lapped so water runs outward. Openings that change size in Studio City are permitted through LADBS, and we prepare and submit those drawings.
